For a most detailed SWTOR Leveling Basics Guide, visit my.On 29th November SWTOR Game Update 5.0 was patched to the live servers. With it a few new features arrived, including a level 70 cap. You have several different options for leveling in the new expansion.
Start a new lvl 1 character and play Origin Class Story, Heroics, Flashpoints, Operations, PvP. Start a new lvl 60 character via a token and play KOTFE, KOTET, Heroics, Flashpoints, Operations, PvP. Start a new lvl 65 character via a token and play KOTET, Heroics, Flashpoints, Operations, PvPIf you are a subscriber, you will be able to progress on any of your current characters from lvl 65 to 70 by participating in any events. If you are not a subscriber, you will be stuck at lvl 65 until you Subscribe to the game.
One subscription gives you forever access to all the Story content the game has to offer – the 8 Origin Class Stories as well as all the expansions (ROTHC, SOR, KOTFE, KOTET). Which way is fastestFastest for leveling is most likely through Heroics and/or Flashpoints. Depending on your class role and your guild/social status you might benefit more from doing Flashpoint runs, but the easiest and probably the most rewarding way is Heroics. It’s also the most boring and tedious one! Be warned!:)If you chose a level 1 character, do the origin stories. They are the most fun and entertainment you can get from the game at low levels.
Among the least productive is lowbie PvP. It’s just as fun as the personal stories, because you never get to repeat things (in PvP everything changes from match to match), but the leveling speed is worse than the movement speed of a tired and lazy Bantha.
When you start at lvl 1, be sure to pick up all initial quests, including the Crew Skills introductions, check the Flashpoints terminals for your first Flashpoint quests, the PvP terminals for the Initial Warzone related quests (including the discovery of Outlaw’s Den on Tatooine).Check my for additional information on what located is where now.If you are new to SWTOR or have never before played the Origin Class Stories, DO NOT start right away at lvl 60 or 65. The EndGame isn’t as popular as it used to be, though it’s still very active on the more heavily populated servers and right now it’s that magical time right after a new expansion, so for the next few weeks (maybe months) it will all be booming. You will ruin a huge part of your game and entertainment by doing so. The tokens can be purchased from the InGame Cartel Market. When you subscribe, you receive one for free.

You will be able to continue leveling via Heroics, Flashpoints, Story Mode Operations, PvP. But the best way is to begin your Knights of the Fallen Empire story adventure.
It is designed for players lvl 60 to 65 and all story chapters can now be repeated as well.Starting directly at lvl 60 will lock the origin story of your character as well as the KOTFE story for you and you will be able to level up to 70 via the same features. The best option for you here is to do either level via Heroics (very quick and rewarding method for this level) or start the Knights of the Eternal Throne epic story line. KOTET is adaptable to your level, which means the earlier you begin it, the easier it will be.
While leveling from 65 to 70 you will not get many chances to upgrade your gear and in the later chapters the enemies will start getting a bit tougher. Can buy welfare blues 220 ilvl. Fairly cheaply.first 10 cmd ranks. Are dirt easy. You like to pvp. Work on your first weekly in solo unranked.
You'll prob hit cmd rank 10.228 gear. Often times, is about the same as crafted 220 but. Anything that's green or blue look at it to see if it's an upgrade. Or 230 set pc gear.
Def an upgrade, hold onto it.what else in cmd crates you choose to keep vs disentegrate. Is up to you.on a recent alt.
I just left my toon in 220 blues. Because i could buy the stats i wanted, i feel like my percentages for acuracy/crit and whatnot were better, when i started to just take any random upgrade. Don't freak out if something is. Higher ilvl, but alacrity over crit. And it throws off the loadouts. I'm fine to wait til RNGesus bestows an actual replacement of the stat i want.
Or i'll craft a replacementas far as crafted gear. 220 crafted gear RE goes to 228. This stuff is fairly cheap, or fairly dirt easy to find a crafter friend to make for you. The mats are fairly easy to get or.have someone make for you.230 mods. Pretty reasonable. Some misc 230 items, pretty easy to find people to make for you. Implants, relics, earpeice.
Most of these schems people have. Can get the istos or void crystals via conquest or pvp weeklys fairly easy. Can upgrade to these with minimal effort. (although honestly. I'd save my money for 240 stuff.230 stuff you do get fairly easily from cmd crates)i think 91 is the first breakpoint for cmd rank tiers. Fractured vet runs are prob the best cxp atm.
Can do this with as little as 2 actual people. But full groups. 3 dps/1 heals are best.-i actually think there may be a nerf to fractured come 5.1 but pvp itself also pays out really well in cxp. Can just farm the fuck out of pvp. Fine tuning your build or keybinds or whatever.
And you'll gain cmd ranks just fine.if you want to go faster. You'll have to actually grind.once jan 24th patch hits. We'll all have to see what those changes mean.but that's the breakdown as it stands right now.you can be in misc 230 gear. And do perfectly fine in pvp. Will prob need better. But no idea your skill or commitment. Solo vs ranked.
I personally know nothing about sorcs in pvp. Might want to research the class. See if it's at all viable or how you should be spec/playing. I'd imagine you never want anyone beating on you.as you're squishy so it's about mobility and bubbles.
