I'd have Gengar on my team because he's awesome but the bad coding in Blue (and the useless Poison type which I would remove) makes him 4xweak to Psychic - which is what he was put in the game to be strong against! Also I'm not using any Legendary Pokemon, wanna play it more 'realistic' so basically a Nuzlock with no Legendaries.So my Team is:Blastoise (starter)Pidgeot (Route 2)Nidoqueen (Route 23)Victreebell (Route 24)Ninetails (Pokemon Mansion)Raichu (Power Plant)I have my Eevee, but haven't evolved her yet, is Jolteon better to use instead of Raichu?What's your best Gen 1 Teams?.

Jolteon has Double Kick and Pin Missile for great coverage, while the only coverage options Raichu has is Surf, which is very, very difficult to obtain (and is impossible to obtain on VC).Assuming that you don't have access to Surf, Raichu's moveset ends up being a boring T-Wave, T-Bolt, Body Slam.shit, Hyper Beam is probably its best option for a fourth move.Jolteon can run that exact set with a better special and speed or replace Hyper Beam with Pin Missile to punish Psychic types or Double Kick to give the player an option against Rhydon and Golem. Jolteon is better than Raichu in practically every way. The only edge Raichu has over Jolteon is its higher attack stat. However, the only move that either Pokemon will use that's physical is Body Slam, and that's more for paralysis spread than actually dealing damage.Raichu can get Surf, but that's only if you're playing on a cartridge and you have a N64 and Pokemon Stadium. If you're playing on the virtual console, then no Surf. Jolteon gets Pin Missile which punishes Psychic types and it gets Double Kick which means that Golem and Rhydon aren't auto-losses.
