How To Install Empire At War Mods
I need someone to tell me how to install this mod in lighter terms. I dont use my computer much besides playing total war and typing documents, so Im not that savy. I do know that I need something to 'unzip' the mod but I dont know what to get and Im not too keen on paying money please help me if I cant play this mod, I might cry.
Please help meI have been looking all night, forever, and here is what I have come up with:Some people who have it on both windows and mac seem to think that it has the same folders, etc., but I have not been able to find any kind of mod folder. I tried making one, copying it directly to the Data directory, but nothing worked.Others say that you won't find any mac-specific mods because most are cross compatible, but I have no idea how to install them. There is not mods folder. I have searched for hours and come up with nothing. There was one person who claimed to have some mods working on his mac, but again, I have no idea how he installed them.Please help.update.After trying many different things, I finally figured out a way to make it work:Open the addon folder to the part that contains the majority of the files/folders it needs (for instance, if you were to click on 'cool addon' and that opens up to one folder labeled something like 'contents' or something, click that folder.

If you were to click that folder and it were to contain several folders along with some random files, that's what you want).Once you have done this, simply drag and drop these files into the Empire at war 'Data' folder. BUT be sure to back up your Data folder first in case this doesn't work. Also, be advised that mixing add-ons is very, very bad and will almost always render the application unusable. I would pick one good addon that does what you want (for me, that was AEM, which is the only one I've tried and works great). Note that to the best of my knowledge, all addons, whether or not they're made for windows, should work by using the method above. The data is game specific, not operating system specific.
